The Saddlefitter
Supplying and servicing quality English and European made saddles to the riders of South East Queensland and Northern NSW.
With over 20 years experience saddle fitting, decades of coaching and a lifetime in the professional horse industry, Kathryn Sullivan-Butt from The Saddlefitter brings a wealth of knowledge to the “art and science” of saddle fitting.
Experience that is backed up with scientifically based saddle fitting qualifications and training in Europe, the US, the UK and Australia -including but not limited to -the prestigious Society of Master Saddler’s fitting qualification.
The Saddlefitter understands the importance of supplying and fitting saddles that optimise the bio-mechanics, comfort, and performance of both horse and rider.
The greater the depth of knowledge, the greater the recognition that “no one brand” will suit every horse and rider. To ensure that our clients do not compromise on fit and style The Saddlefitter works with several world leading saddle companies, holding in stock a vast range with over 250 quality saddles from our selected saddle leaders. As a result, most often we will have the saddle you need in stock, with your specific requirements and available immediately. For those however that have even more unique needs and a more relaxed timeline we work with our Master saddlers in England and Europe to craft a bespoke model created just for you on a priority timeline.

The Saddlefitter understands that purchasing a new saddle is an important investment. Kathryn provides a dedicated one-on-one service to ensure you purchase the optimum make and model.
The correct girth, stirrups, saddle pads and associated saddle strapping can make a significant difference to the fit of your saddle and comfort of the horse and rider. The Saddlefitter holds a vast selection of saddle accessories to enhance the comfort for your horse; these include girths, saddle cloths and pads, stirrups, bridles, martingales, monkey grips and premium leather care.
These can be purchased during a fitting or from our Online Store. If you have any specific requests please let us know when booking your fitting.
